There are some things that aren't different. I was already stronger than a human before I got here, and I could already see in the dark. Was told those are changes that happen with this... species.

But I didn't need to eat before I got here, now I do. I didn't need to sleep as much either. Both are pain in the ass things to have to do.

Tidelocked planet. Constant war. Mass extinction. Take your pick. I don't know all the details. It wasn't important for us to know.

Birds started to come back recently. Fish too. There are boar and moose. That's all I've ever seen.

I can imagine the rest. My world might as well be going in the same direction.

But it sounds like things are restarting.

Maybe so. I haven't thought about it. There's nothing else there for me.

Do you think your world has a chance?

['Home' was such a nebulous term for her that it encompassed the whole of the planet earth, not just a piece of it. She has never had anything akin to a familial unit, to camaraderie outside of the confines of a battlefield, and so most of the nuance is lost to her. ]
